Welcome to SueScapes
SueScapes was founded by Sue Carlson, landscape designer. After receiving her A.A.S. Landscape Horticulture degree from Dakota County Technical College, she worked for several companies in the landscape industry, including Gertens as well as another leading landscape design/build firm in the Twin Cities. In 2006, Sue opened her own design firm, SueScapes. She specializes in residential design, but has done a number of commercial designs as well.
"SueScapes also specializes in garden consultations if you do not need an entire landscape design done. These consultations are done on an hourly fee."

Phase 1
Phase I of a landscape design begins with an initial meeting to walk your property, discuss your goals and visions as well as your lifestyle, and to discuss an initial budget. Following the onsite consultation , a proposed contract detailing what the plan will include as well as the design fee is sent to you. Once the contract is signed, and a deposit is received, a site survey is obtained, and measurements and pictures are taken of the site.

Phase 2
Phase II consists of a meeting to review the comprehensive concept plan that is based on information gathered in Phase I. Plantings and hardscape selections are reviewed. Once the concept plan is approved, the process proceeds to the complete working drawings. The remaining 50% of the design fee is due at this time.
